Knowing what car seat fits your child and how to install it can be complicated! Our Child Passenger Safety Technicians can help with the following:
Checking if your child is in the right seat for their size
Making sure your child is buckled safely
Helping position and install your car seat correctly
Providing peace of mind—you can leave knowing your child is riding safely
Open to the public, for any parent or guardian.

Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Event
Open Door Health Services’ SHIP counselors will be available to help eligible community members make changes to their Medicare Advantage coverage. They can explain Medicare options, help find a plan that fits, and walk through the application process. Medicare Advantage open enrollment is from Jan. 1–Mar. 31, 2026.

Free Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening
Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital, in partnership with Open Door Health Services, is hosting a free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening (clinical breast exam, Pap test, HPV test) at Open Door White River on Thursday, October 23. Appointments begin at 6 p.m. Space is limited—please make an appointment.
Services include clinical breast exam, Pap test, and HPV test for the following:
Women ages 21–65
No Pap exam within the past year
Have not had a total hysterectomy
A screening mammogram will be available that evening for those who qualify.

Decades Dash 5K & 10K
Join us for the 2nd annual Decades Dash Run/Walk, presented by eKeeper! Lace up your sneakers and hit the pavement for a meaningful cause—supporting access to essential period supplies for women and girls in need. Starting at Canan Commons, this beautiful 5K and 10K route runs through the heart of downtown Muncie, through the historic Minnetrista campus, and on both White River and Cardinal greenways.
Dress up in your favorite decade! Whether you’re rocking ‘70s bell bottoms, ‘80s neon, ‘90s grunge, or any other throwback style, come in costume and show your spirit as we run (or walk!)
Sports Physicals & Immunizations | Ross Community Center
Immunizations
Children’s immunizations are no-cost for those covered by Medicaid/HIP/Hoosier Healthwise, as well as those without insurance. Private insurance will be billed when applicable, and the insured may receive a bill.
Sports Physicals — $25
Sports physicals are $25. Parent/legal guardian must be present—please bring completed IHSAA form (copies available at event). $25 will be due at time of service for physicals (Cash and credit card accepted. Insurance will not be billed for physicals at the event.)
No appointment needed! You do not need to be an Open Door patient.
