Family & Child Resources
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program)
WIC provides supplemental nutrition assistance for pregnant mothers, new moms, and children up to age five. Participants receive breastfeeding support, grocery assistance, and nutrition counseling from our team of WIC dietitians. Open Door administers WIC in Delaware and Madison Counties. You do not need to be an Open Door patient to benefit. Learn more about WIC.
Diaper Bank
Open Door is proud to be a member of The Diaper Bank of East Central Indiana, a Second Harvest Food Bank program.
Car Seat Safety
Open Door's certified car seat safety technicians will help you learn how to install and use your child's car seat. Call (765) 286-7000 for more information.
Milk Bank
Open Door partners with The Milk Bank, a non-profit organization that collects and distributes donor breast milk to benefit premature and critically ill babies. After completing the registration process, donors can drop off their breast milk at the WIC locations at Open Door Downtown Muncie (333. S. Madison St.) or WIC - Anderson (2101 Jackson St. Suite #118).
The Anderson location also serves as a “milk express” where families can access safe donor milk to bridge gaps in breastfeeding at home. To learn more, visit www.themilkbank.org or contact WIC in Delaware County at (765) 289-6180 or Madison County at (765) 646-9272.

Medication Assistance
As an Open Door patient, if paying for your medications presents challenges, we can often connect you with resources to help reduce the cost of your prescriptions. Your provider will be happy to share options with you.
Community Health Workers
Our patients have access to Community Health Workers, who can get you connected with a variety of community resources. We recognize that things like employment, housing, education, and utilities affect our overall health. By connecting patients with resources in these areas, we serve their whole-person health.
