April Taylor

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

A lifelong Hoosier, April earned three master’s degrees from Ball State University in clinical psychology, school psychology, and clinical mental health counseling. April specializes in helping people who have experienced trauma or personality disorders. She is passionate about providing authentic, whole-person and trauma-informed care. April is a former Open Door intern who sees patients at Open Door’s downtown (333 S. Madison St.) and White River (2600 E. White River Blvd.) locations.

Beyond Open Door, you might spot April in a performance at the Muncie Civic Theatre “If I’m not in a show, I go to a lot of performances,” she said. She enjoys playing video games, reading horror and fantasy novels, and hanging out with her Great Dane. Another fun fact? She’s known as “potato girl” at family gatherings because of her love of the food.

“I really like the integration of a community health center like Open Door. It allows a patient’s entire healthcare team to work together and make sure we are meeting all their needs.”
