John Peterson, MD

Dr. Peterson is one of Open Door’s first providers, practicing medicine and serving on the Delaware County Board of Health for more than three decades. He has delivered more than 2,500 babies in the community and offers workshops on alternative medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Iowa College of Medicine.
Dr. Peterson moonlights as a professional musician and owned the downtown venue “Doc’s” for 20 years. He continues to perform music at various venues and special events.
