Stephen Hamilton, LMHC-A
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Stephen Hamilton comes to Open Door with special training and experience in suicide prevention. He is CAMS-trained (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) and worked for a 988 suicide and crisis lifeline while in school. Originally from Muncie, he returned to town from Tampa, Florida to complete his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Ball State University.
Stephen will primarily see patients at Open Door’s White River location (2600 E. White River Blvd.) He’s excited about the opportunity to serve a variety of people. “The thing I like most about therapy is being able to talk with people about things that really matter to them. It’s fulfilling to work with people when I know I’m making a difference,” he said.
When he’s not at work, you may find Stephen at the Muncie Civic Theatre, performing in or watching a show. He’s a fan of board games, video games, movies, reading fantasy and non-fiction, and dining at Sitara.
