Back 2 School Fun Fest Continues to Meet Needs

August 4, 2017– Muncie, IN – Open Door Health Services hosted their sixth annual Back 2 School Fun Fest on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 1-4pm at 333 S. Madison Street in Muncie and the event continues to meet the needs of families in Delaware County.

The Back 2 School Fun Fest is open to the public and offers school and sport physicals, immunizations, and dental exams for little to no cost. This year Open Door provided 68 physicals, immunizations to 43 children, and 24 dental exams.Kids of all ages enjoyed free games, refreshments, and face painting. There were 608 estimated in attendance and 20 volunteers. They also gave away 401 free backpacks filled with school supplies. The event was a success and a great encouragement for the beginning of the school year.“

The energy and dedication of Open Door employees and volunteers to assure we were able provide invaluable services such as immunizations, school physicals, and even dental exams while at the same time making sure our patients and families were having fun and learning; was remarkable.
