Ivan Madrigal receives statewide honor

When Ivan joined the Open Door team as a Medical Translator and Patient Service Representative, he didn’t think of it as anything more than a job. However, he says growing up knowing what poverty looks like soon led him to find a lot of gratitude for the work he was able to do each day at Open Door. Ivan grew to take on new responsibilities as Patient Service Representative Supervisor and Scheduling Manager, and this spring he was named 2019 Employee of the Year by the Indiana Primary Health Care Association, after being nominated by his coworkers and leadership team.
