ODHS Receives March of Dimes Grant for CenteringPregnancy

March 22, 2016 Muncie, IN – Open Door Health Services (ODHS) received a grant from The March of Dimes, Indiana Chapter in January 2016 to provide training and operational support for a CenteringPregnancy® program that will begin at ODHS in May. The CenteringPregnancy® program is an evidence-based model of care that improves birth outcomes, by promoting greater patient engagement, personal empowerment and community-building.

“These funds will be used to provide training in the CenteringPregnancy® curriculum to the providers and support staff who work with our prenatal patients on a daily basis,” said Toni Estep, CEO of Open Door Health Services. “We are so grateful to the March of Dimes volunteers who make grants like this possible through participation in walks or donations.  We see the impact that it makes on our patients daily.”

The CenteringPregnancy® program will begin at Open Door in May 2016, but Open Door is always accepting new prenatal patients. For more information about Open Door Health Services’ prenatal program, visit us online at opendoorhs.org or call (765) 286-7000.
