Open Door to Host Farmers Market

Open Door Health Services will be hosting a farmers market from July 14th to October 15th. The farmers market will be held on Thursdays from 11am - 2pm at 333 S. Madison Street Muncie, IN 47305.

 The farmers market will give Open Door staff and patients the opportunity to purchase fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, while also supporting local farmers. “It is important to us to make access to fresh fruits and vegetables to the downtown area easier,” says Adriene Knight, WIC Dietitian. This opportunity is not only for patients of Open Door, anyone in the community is welcome to come purchase fresh produce.

 WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and Senior citizens will be able to use their Farmers Market checks to purchase produce. The Market will be located in the East parking lot across from McDonalds. Vendors will accept cash or check.
